Breakfast can be a tricky one. it’s easy to skip or get tired of the same options.
.
So I love to mix up the basics to make them more exciting and taste better! Eggs cook up real fast, are (typically) affordable, and can go with so many different flavors!
.
Oh and something I forgot to put in the slides…. Cheese options!!! This can add so much flavor/variety! I love using feta, cheddar, and Parmesan; but the possibilities are endless!!!
.
Premade/meal prep options: Costco has mini egg bites that have been a hit with my clients. I’ve also premade my own egg bites (best part is you can add your favorite cheese/veggies/meats), and I e also had clients premake and freeze the loaded pancakes to toast and eat later (could also be waffles)
.

Are nutrition and exercise important? ABSOLUTELY!

Are they the most important things you think about? Nope, definitely not!

This came up in my client sessions a lot yesterday; if eating or exercising a certain way takes you away from important life experiences then we might need to refocus and redirect
.
Your thoughts don’t need to be consumed by food information, your work outs don’t need to be strict and rigid!
.

The list for me is so long -> mental health support, feeling strong, building confidence, building respect for my body, not being as critical of my body, building muscle (which is great for metabolism, bone health, and long term quality of life), blood sugar metabolism, cardiovascular health, and on and on….
.
So often we use movement for the sole purpose of changing how our bodies look to the people around us
.
And so many forms of exercise are promoted to us in this way -> body sculpting, booty busting, calorie crushing, waist trimming……. Shame…… (IE your body needs sculpted, booty needs busting, calories must be burned, and your waist is too big)
.
When was the last time you moved your body JUST because it felt good? And not because you wanted it to be smaller (or booty bigger…)?
.
What forms of movement do you actually enjoy? Not because someone once told you that it burned the most calories?
.
Finding movement you love and doing it because of the immeasurable benefits is the best way to create lifelong, sustainable movement patterns!
